Facilities & Bookings
Our new community hall is for the use of any resident within the Cam Vale Parish Council area which includes the villages of Longburton, Holnest, Lillington and Leweston. It is also available for use by the wider community of Dorset and it is run by volunteers as a Charitable Trust.
The layout of the hall is on one level with lift access to a small function room at first floor level. It is ideally suited for private parties, functions, children’s parties, receptions, performances, shows, societies and clubs, pilates, music/band/choir practice, educational pursuits, and training sessions.
Main Hall
The main room in the hall is 17.7m by 8.9 m and has 4.75m high ceiling. which is high enough for a bouncy castle. There is access to the adjoining fitted kitchen which also has a serving hatch.
We have a robust professional demountable staging which is made up of 29 off 750 x 750 mm panels. The panels are supported by steel tubular frames which are interlocked together. The stage can be set up anywhere in the hall with a maximum size of 5 m x 3m.
Tables and Chairs
- 120 comfortable padded chairs.
- 20 long tables (1830 mm x 685mm)
- 18 small tables (860mm x 860mm)
Sports Equipment
- 2 full size table tennis sets.
- 2 full length carpet bowls mats and equipment.
- The Hall floor is marked out for Pickleball and Badminton for which we have nets and bats etc.
Other facilities
- Fitted kitchen with stable door access to the main hall.
- Small function room (SFR) on the first floor which is 4.3m wide by 6.3m long
- Air conditioning throughout the building (cost included in hire rates)
- Separate male/female and disabled toilets on the ground floor.
- Wheelchair lift for access to the SFR
- Main hall and SFR have independent hearing loops.
- The hall has full fibre internet access either by wifi or network cable connection.
- 15 off road parking spaces including 2 disabled bays.
